Luke Oakley

Sports Therapy | Injury Rehab

Luke, born on the Isle of Wight, graduated from Plymouth University with a BSc in Sports Therapy and Injury Rehabilitation. During his studies, Luke was keen to work with as many different athletes as possible to gain the vital skills he has today. His most valuable and enjoyable time being the work done for the GB swimming team to prepare for the Commonwealth games.

Since then, Luke has integrated very well at the RMA clinic, excelling in post-operative rehabilitation, working with many injuries including patients that have had ACL reconstructions, partial or full knee and hip replacements.

A competitive swimmer himself since the age of 9, Luke has trained at a high level, and competed at national events with the Leander team in Plymouth, as well as representing the IOW during the Island Games in Bermuda, Jersey and Gotland. These experiences as a committed athlete have given Luke the all-important understanding of the impact and stress training has on the body. His objectives as a sports therapist is to go above and beyond to help individuals and athletes alike repair from injury and maintain a healthy body.

Luke specialises in ankle, knee ligament rehab, pre and post operative rehab, back pain, sciatica, disc issues, dislocations, joint replacements and post trauma including fractures.

Whether it’s a sporting injury or not, Luke will tailor your program to ensure you recover to full strength and return your body safely to optimum function and physical activity.
